a couple of photos from a recent trip to the Lake district. I like this tree and its shadow; a duck had just swum by causing the ripples. this bird was in a tree being harassed by much smaller blackbirds just caught it but have no idea what it is.
morning is my best time, I like this misty lake, it's Windermere which is usually a bit busy but this was early and there was hardly anyone around.

Love the L.D. pics again - is this a weekly pilgrimage? Sorry can't help a lot with the bird - most likely a crow, being hassled by a group of smaller birds seeing it as a threat. Swap some bird lessons for some art lessons???

but the bird was brown with some darker bits on, and I don't think you need any lessons from me!

Jay is in the crow family, but unlikely to be mobbed by other birds (i.e. not a threat). Howabout a female sparrowhawk? Mainly brown, and definitely gets mobbed!

Blimey mate what brilliant photos! you're a real artist just imagine them as paintings, although I know you think they are good enough as photos.
