Newcastle quayside Spiller's Factory, nice reflection if I say so.
the Baltic , again; nice reflection.

these are some from the river on a grey morning, a nice grey, me on the rocks risking life and limb to capture some nice pictures. I think this is a different morning with a very nice yellow glow. by the fish quay.

this has been adjusted (never!) I think it looks cool, its from the hills above Allendale. Salwell Park again.
Lindisfarne, I love it even in the rain.

reflections: isn't this a nice pair with an equally nice sunset in between?
this is in South Shields in case anyone is out there and interested.

Friday, 16 November 2007

this is from the other morning, one of the nice things about winter approaching is that you can have a little lie in and still catch the sunrise. Before the sun rises Venus (I think it's Venus) is very bright in the south. this is a branch on a tree in Saltwell park. I used to take my kids there often and was taken there as a child. Apparently I was a nasty child and tried to stamp on frogs while there or so may parents told me and why would they lie?
Not everyone likes the Angel of the North, then again not everyone likes Kate Bush (Heather thinks she is a bit of a wailing banshee): I like them both myself, but in different ways, of course.

this shopuld have been the day before the last if you get me, but the pictures wouldn't upload. a very early rise and another nice sunrise at St Mary's Island
I liked the contrast between the cool and warm sides of the landscape

this morning up at 10 to 7, out on my bike and just in time to see the sun rise.Speaking of which Alice Cooper did an interesting version of tRolf Harris' song Sun Arise on the Album Love it To Death.
the moring light was rather nice.

some dramatic skies with crepuscular rays I think.

early one morning etc

quite early st Mary's Island
can't actually remember time and place, but it looks good
early one morning I saw this, it is the moon with I believe, Venus above, lovely!
this also was quite early one morning, not the same, but a different morning from a little bay to the north of St Mary's Island.
and this was one afternoon leaving a class, just what or who lives in this house and what planet are they from?

Saturday, 10 November 2007

here's a nice tree, a little oak here it is again but clarted around with 'creatively'
And here is a sunrise above cullercoats.

the last posting was meant for another place! (the bin, perhaps?)

dave as alice

went to see Alice (Alice? Alice! who the *** is Alice?) Cooper last night, supporting was Motorhead who were more painful than toothache, I mean that, my ears are still sad this morning. Alice was great. So here's me as Alice. Mind at half time when I went to the foyer type place where all the people wear I felt people were staring and realised that most people were dressed in black many with t shirts with heavy metal slogans suuch as Eddie ate my gran's hamster. Whereas I was in my beige woolly jumper (it was cold outside and the heater in my car is a bit broke (see under 'buggered' somewhere in archives)I figured if anyone asked I would claim to be dyslexic and say I thought I'd bought a ticket for Val Doonigan. Is there anything designed to make you look more like a twit(than one usually does in any case) than a cycling helmet? Went out in the rain this morning to St Mary's Island. cold and wet but I felt slightly heroic.
I wonder if this could be possibly the worst painting I've ever done, probably not.

for some reason I was thinking how in the old days there wasn't only superman, but supergirl (who developed into superwoman), super horse superdog and I'm pretty sure supermonkey (I don't remember any super budgie) Anyway just imagine! it's bad enough if a pigeon poops on your head (only happened to me once ) but imagine if super- horse was flying overhead!
